I took these pictures on a hike through the wild.  I like how it takes two closeups and a land scape or should I say skyscape.  I like the contrast in colors.  I believe these pictures are well framed and make scense.  The only change I will make is the color on the right side of the picture with the dragonfly.

I took these pictures at a park a few weeks back.  I have been working on a graphic novel and I’ve been throwing around a few ideas such as having glowing edges like these pictures.  I like the sixties psychedelic feel these pictures have.  For my graphic novel I want to give it a futuristic look I believe I can achieve this through simple dark backgrounds and surreal colorful pictures.  I also may try de saturating these photos and only bring back colors that create a focal point for instance eyes.  I like the contrast between light colors and the dark back ground.

I took these pictures all on different day in different places. I edited these photos going for a dark gloomy effect. I changed the color balance on all three to make the photos dark. I wanted a kind of grainy texture to add to the dark tone and mood set by the pictures. I have been interested in gloom lately. I have found it interesting to take a bright picture that isn’t gloomy and edit it to change the entire mood. I rotated the top and middle picture so that I could see it in a different perspective.

I took this picture in Jerusalem last summer.  I like the lighting on the red flower which is the focal point in this picture.  I was trying to go for a bright open air nature close up.  I am pleased with the way this picture after cropping and editing.  The contrast between the red of the flower and the green of the leaves makes the picture more dramatic.  I like the blurry background it adds to the clarity of the flowers.  I like the blurry edges I like the way it contrasts with the blurry top background.  I was going for an impressionistic look I believe this photo has that element.  I wanted to capture a flourishing garden something that has that fresh surreal feel to it.  I used a process of blurring and changed the lightness and opacity.  I also changed the hue and saturation to make the photo brighter and make the red on the flower more profound.   Patrick Stokoe

I took these pictures at the zoo.  I was going for a close up with a blurry background.  It came out how I wanted.  All three of these shots show lots of color.  I like the dots on the feathers.  I wanted to make the feathers look like a blanket of color.  I believe I was successful in doing so.  I like the way the picture of the peacocks head turned out, its almost like it was posing for me when I snapped the shot.  I always use lots of light in all my photos and all three of these photos use natural sun light.

I took these pictures in my room before I was even thinking about triptychs.  I like these pictures because of the color.  The pictures had no background because there was so much light.  I like how the lamp looks like a planet.  I used a filter and changed the color to create this strange negative color effect.
