I took these pictures at the zoo.  I was going for a close up with a blurry background.  It came out how I wanted.  All three of these shots show lots of color.  I like the dots on the feathers.  I wanted to make the feathers look like a blanket of color.  I believe I was successful in doing so.  I like the way the picture of the peacocks head turned out, its almost like it was posing for me when I snapped the shot.  I always use lots of light in all my photos and all three of these photos use natural sun light.

I like the third photo the best, the lines are the most interesting among the three and the crop of the picture naturally positions the bird in a position of excellent composition. Something about the lighting that I really love is the arrangement of the colors, it’s lighter on the right side, but the ride side of the bird is actually darker. I feel like the focal point, which is the head of the bird is not completely in focus, and that would definitely make this particular picture stronger. Also, the line that seems to be emerging from the left side of the head, could have been easily removed in photoshop as to keep from distracting the viewer. Overall, I am extremely impressed with this picture.
